Discovering Florence and the charming villages in its surroundings
This tour is dedicated to the discovery of Florence, cradle of the Renaissance and destination of renowned artists such as Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo Da Vinci. The journey is also devoted to the exploration of some enchanting villages in its vicinity and in Chianti, a captivating area famous above all for its wine. Founded by the Romans in the 1st century BC, Florence has gone through very different historical moments: the dark medieval era marked by the bloody struggles between the Guelphs and the Ghibellines, the Renaissance period which coincides with the most prosperous age, thanks to Lorenzo the Magnificent of the Medici family, and then the following periods, still flourishing and equally important. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the past of Florence, walking through the streets of the historic center where ancient medieval houses and towers still show off and where you will visit some of the most important museums in the city, symbolic places of its extraordinary artistic life. You will not miss the pleasant exploration of the gastronomic aspect that will give you a thorough knowledge of the traditions of Florence and Tuscany. In addition to Florence, this tour will provide the opportunity to visit some villages around the city, places that have remained suspended in time.
