At the Court of the Savoy: Elegant Turin and the Royal Residences
This tour offers a visit to discover the most refined areas of Turin including its elegant squares, real “living rooms of the city”, its majestic Baroque palaces, its long arcaded avenues, enchanted parks and historic cafes in which to relax while sipping the traditional bicerin, indulging in a “royal snack” or savoring the aperitifs accompanied by sandwiches, a local favorite created right here in 1926.
You will then visit the “crown of delights”, a large urban and extra-urban circuit that includes the Royal Residences that were built by the Savoy family between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries: castles dedicated to hunting, holiday resorts and court life, a monumental architectural complex that the Savoy family, tireless builders, wanted as a symbol of their absolute power, included as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
There will be moments dedicated to local food and wine with tastings of chocolate and gianduia, undisputed protagonists of Turin pastry, cooking classes or Piedmontese cooking workshops and a visit to a historic company that produces a famous Italian beverage.

After having refreshed yourself in the hotel, and depending on your arrival time, you can discover the historic center of the elegant Piedmontese capital, dedicating some time to visit some fascinating Baroque palaces, the center of aristocratic life and royal residences during the Kingdom of Savoy.
Night in hotel
In the morning after breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for the Venaria Royal Palace, one of the most majestic Savoy residences, built in the mid-1600s by the will of Duke Carlo Emanuele II who wanted to make it a hunting lodge. The impressive project of the Venaria Royal Palace was taken as a model for the construction of the palace par excellence, that of Versailles. In 2007, after eight years of restoration, the gardens of the palace complex were restored to their splendor, which today represent the flagship of this magnificent construction with the spaces of the English Gardens, including Flower and Rose Gardens, and the area of the groves. You will lose yourself in enchanting halls, gardens full of flowers and plants and the many exhibitions and cultural events offered.
Night in hotel
After breakfast at the hotel, you will start the day as sweet as possible. In fact, you will visit a chocolate factory, where you will see with your own eyes the various stages of processing this precious product, delight your palate by tasting various qualities and appreciate its aromatic hints following the suggestions of an expert.
After a break for lunch, you will discover the Stupinigi Royal Hunting Lodge (Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi), a splendid 18th century building commissioned by Vittorio Amedeo II of Savoy and the work of the famous architect, Filippo Juvarra, based on a Central European model. Created mainly for hunting, it was, however, a place of sumptuous parties as well as Napoleon’s residence at the beginning of the nineteenth century. You will admire the magnificent sight of the main entrance, the delightful oval hall and the Natural Park that extends for 1,700 hectares and which was designed in 1724 on a French model, which later took on the features of an English garden over the years.
Back in Turin, you can refresh yourself with a drink or go directly to dinner in one of the typical restaurants in the center.
