Upon your arrival in Milan, you will be greeted by an Italy-Trails representative for the welcome and delivery of travel documents. You will collect your rental car and drive to the hotel where you can rest a little and store your luggage.
Depending on your arrival time, you can begin to explore the city starting from the center where, walking, you will reach the Duomo, Piazza della Scala and the Castle. After a lunch break, you will take a cooking class to prepare a typical dish of Milanese cuisine: the famous saffron risotto with ossobuco beef. The cooking class will be in English and you can enjoy your Milanese dish for dinner!

After breakfast, you will meet your guide to visit the Last Supper, Leonardo’s undisputed masterpiece in the refectory of the Dominican Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Your day will continue with a guided tour of the church and then of the Sforza Castle outside. After a lunch break, you can choose to dedicate your free time to shopping and looking at the windows of the most famous designers in the streets of the Milanese fashion district. Alternatively, you can continue with guided tours of the majestic Milan Cathedral and the Scala Museum, the theater where you can also admire the interiors.
Finally, you can dedicate the evening to a Milanese aperitif in one of the bars in the lively Navigli district or you can relax on a terrace overlooking the spiers of the Duomo.
Dinner and return to the hotel in Milan.
After breakfast, you will leave for Bergamo, a city that has maintained the charm of the past thanks to its historical monuments, its medieval structure and its strategic position on top of a hill. Here, you will meet your guide to visit the wonderful upper town with its Venetian walls, medieval streets, squares, towers, the Duomo and the Palazzo della Ragione.
You will have lunch at a typical trattoria to taste the specialties of the area: casoncelli and polenta taragna, a rich and delicious meal for all cheese lovers.
In the afternoon, you will drive to a winery in Franciacorta to discover the fine wines of the area, which can be tasted at the end of the visit together with a taste of the local specialties.
