Upon your arrival to the airport, you will find a representative of Italy-Trails who will welcome you and deliver your travel accessories. You will continue to the hotel where you will be staying and, depending on your arrival time, you can accommodate your luggage and enjoy a first exploratory tour of the city. You’ll find yourself immersed in a riot of wildflowers by visiting the Library of Trees, just a short walk from the Garibaldi metro station. Looking up, you’ll cross the magnificent skyscrapers of the Vertical Forest, awarded by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat the title of the world’s finest and most innovative skyscrapers. You’ll reach the Gae Aulenti Square, a symbol of the city’s architectural renaissance in recent years, and you will continue to the glamorous Corso Como where you won’t be able to resist the charm of the city’s most eclectic Corso Como 10 boutique. Choose the place that inspires you the most for a drink and a typical Milanese dinner. Night in Hotel in Milan.
After breakfast, you will start the tour of the city strictly on foot or using public transport for a full immersion experience. The itinerary designed for you begins with a walk to the Simplon Park in the direction of Sforzesco Castle, which explodes in monumentality on the remains of an older fortification built in the 14th century by the Visconti dynasty and is known for its imposing towers that stand out in the green colors of the oasis of the Park. You will continue along the Dante pedestrian street to the Duomo Square, where you can admire the third largest cathedral in the world. You’ll then leap more than seven centuries into a matter of minutes when, accessing the Cathedral Terrace of spikes, pinnacles and gothic rampant arches, you’ll admire the city’s hyper-tech skyline of design. The charm of Milan and its Symbol is this connection that is made between the ancient and the futuristic, enclosing them in a single look within only a few moments. Continue your tour along the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery that will take you to Scala Square and then to the small and reserved Piazzetta San Fedele, where you can taste a real Italian coffee. You will have lunch in front of the pinnacles of the Duomo on the terrace of the largest Italian Department Store: La Rinascente. If you are not conquered by shopping, you will continue to San Babila Square and then along the luxurious Montenapoleone Street. You will have time to leave your purchases in the hotel and get ready for a drink under the stars at the Highline Gallery where you can admire the city at sunset from the roof of the magnificent Vittorio Emanuele Gallery. Dinner in typical restaurant and night in Hotel in Milan.
After breakfast and check out, you will leave your luggage in the hotel and you will meet with your guide who will tell you about the exciting masterpiece of Leonardo da Vinci and the Italian Renaissance, the Last Supper, painted around 1494 on the wall of the refectory of the convent, adjacent to the Shrine of Santa Maria delle Grazie. The contingent entrance to the small refectory allows us to appreciate the movement of the work represented by the moods of the Apostles captured due to the announcement of the betrayal revealed. Continue your visit by admiring one of the clearest examples of Renaissance Lombardy architecture, The Basilica and Sanctuary of St. Mary of Graces. After a short snack, you will return to the hotel to collect your luggage and go to the address indicated to pick-up your rental car. You will then leave for Stresa on Lake Maggiore, where you will arrive after about a couple of hours. After check-in, you can enjoy an aperitif on the lakefront before dinner. Night in Hotel/B&B Superior in Stresa.
